Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific in Meriden, CT is seeking a 2nd shift production associate to operate cartridge equipment, perform assembly and packaging tasks, and uphold GMP and safety standards. This role requires lifting up to 55 lbs unassisted and standing for long periods while following all safety rules.

The position involves working Fridays in the afternoon, with overtime and weekends as needed. Excellent attention to detail and teamwork are essential for success in this busy manufacturing

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/GED or higher.
• Experience: 3+ years of plant, manufacturing and/or warehouse experience.
• Ability to work 2nd Shift (Friday Afternoon; 3pm – 11:15 pm), weekends, overtime, or holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate cartridge equipment to pleat, trim, cut, seal membrane media, sub‑assemble, cap, final assembly, testing, drying and packaging of cartridges.
• Perform various production operations including the operation of multiple machines safely, and filling in on positions throughout manufacturing operations as required.
• Observe all company and OSHA safety rules and practices.
• Keep the work area clean and orderly.
• Assist with change‑over and setup on production line and equipment.
• Assist other department members as needed to ensure safety and maximize output.
• Assist in the training of other employees as necessary.
• Complete quality checks; if a discrepancy is found, work with appropriate team members to solve the problem.
• Possess the ability to clearly speak, understand, and write in English to communicate effectively in both verbal and written contexts.
