Job summary

Commonwealth Fusion Systems is hiring a Material Coordinator for the second shift to support production and assembly teams. You will coordinate materials, resolve urgent needs, and work with planning, logistics, and inventory to keep operations flowing smoothly.

You’ll join a collaborative culture that values transparent communication and teamwork. The role involves shift hours 1:30–10:00 pm, with a 10% differential for the second shift.

Qualifications

• General understanding of shop floor applications.
• Basic understanding of ERP and MRP systems.
• Basic computer skills with MS Office or G-Suite.
• General understanding of quality system functionality.
• Strong communication with manufacturing and supply chain teams.
• Technician experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Able to stand, sit, type, stoop, and use ladders or scissor lifts.
• Work in a facility with industrial hazards (heat, cold, noise, fumes, magnets, etc.).
• Willingness to travel or work nights/weekends/on-call occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Interface between Planning, Materials Management, Procurement, Quality, Production/Construction/Assembly and Design to support time-sensitive priorities.
• Modify work orders and initiate kitting of materials with the warehouse team.
• Coordinate logistics of material through the factory.
• Monitor material readiness and mitigate downtime due to material shortages.
• Utilize shop floor applications to manage resource workloads.
• Maintain work order status reports and balance resources for high utilization.
• Perform other duties as required.
