Job summary

Edwards Lifesciences is seeking a technical specialist in Salt Lake City, Utah to support Operations and Engineering with hands-on maintenance, validation, and process improvements.

You will troubleshoot, design tests, lead validation projects, and collaborate with Quality to implement corrective actions while maintaining compliant documentation across ECRs, SOPs, drawings, and tooling. The role emphasizes teamwork and reliability.

Qualifications

• Troubleshooting and maintenance knowledge is required.
• Strong documentation practices and GDP compliance.
• Experience with validation and equipment improvement processes.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and maintain equipment to limit downtime and support validation.
• Design, set-up and execute feasibility studies and tests to improve equipment and processes.
• Lead projects related to equipment validation and investigations.
• Perform preventive maintenance on complex equipment to validate operation and minimize downtime.
• Analyze failures and write impact assessment reports.
• Collaborate with Quality on corrective actions, EWOs, ENCRs, and OOTs.
• Update documentation in systems (ECRs, SOPs, drawings, tooling) for Engineering approval.
• Collaborate with Engineering to develop new basic tools.
• Provide coaching to technicians and ensure on-time attendance.
• Perform incidental duties as required.
