Tega Medical LLC in Franklin, MA is seeking a Second Shift EDM Operator-I to operate EDM machines in a high-precision manufacturing setting. The role includes reading blueprints, measuring parts, validating fixtures, and performing in-process inspections to ensure tight tolerances.

The position offers a full-time, on-site schedule with a starting hourly wage of $17.67–$22.09, plus a 15% shift differential for the second shift. High school diploma required and comprehensive benefits provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate designated EDM machines to meet blueprint specifications.
• Read blueprint and job orders for product specs, dimensions, tolerances, and parts count.
• Use blueprint data to measure parts processed from Wire, Sinker and EDM Drill.
• Verify proper parts and fixturing are used.
• Verify dimensions of finished work using optical/digital comparator, micrometer, caliper, gauge blocks or pins.
• Communicate with team and supervisor to transfer and receive instructions.
• Perform in-process inspections.
• Assist in investigation of nonconforming material.
• Perform ERP system transactions.

Job Summary

Operate one or more Electrical Discharge Machines (EDM) or similar equipment to specifications, following standard charts and manuals, applying knowledge of electrical-discharge machining process and methods, electric currents and circuitry, metal properties, and shop mathematics, to shape metalwork pieces that adhere to extremely tight tolerances.

Role and Responsibilities

• Operate designated machines and equipment to meet blueprint specifications.
• Read blueprint and job order for product specifications such as dimensions, tolerances, and number of parts to be processed.
• Use blueprint data to measure parts processed from Wire, Sinker and EDM Drill.
• Verify proper parts and fixturing are being used.
• Verify dimensions of finished work piece for conformance to specifications using optical/digital comparator, Micrometer, Caliper, gage blocks and or gage pins or other required equipment.
• Communicate with co-workers, members of other shifts, technical leader, team leader and/or supervisor to transfer and receive instructions and information.
• Perform In-process inspections.
• Assist in investigation of Nonconforming Material.
• Perform ERP system transactions.
