Job summary

Creative Dining Services is seeking a friendly, experienced Line Cook for the second shift at Wooster Board in Wooster, OH. You will prepare meals to recipe specifications, manage batch cooking, and keep logs and equipment in top condition.

The role offers a stable full-time schedule (12:30pm–9:00pm, Monday–Friday with alternating weekends off), opportunities for training, and benefits including a 401(k) with company match and a quarterly bonus program.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years cooking experience.
• Must be effective with: Working well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items according to established recipes and menus while preserving freshness, quality and appeal.
• Utilize batch cooking techniques to avoid over or under production.
• Maintain logs (food temperatures, cooling temperatures, cooler & freezer temperatures, etc.).
• Monitor kitchen equipment for proper functioning; report discrepancies to supervisor.
• Open and/or close the kitchen when shift requires; unlock/lock doors and operate equipment as needed.
• Hold prepared food items at proper temperatures (below 40° for cold, above 135° for hot).
• Store food items with proper labeling and dating.
• Communicate needs and concerns regarding food production and kitchen operation to supervisor.
