Mission Point Health Care is seeking a Laundry Aide for the full-time second shift in Michigan. The role includes sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens, while ensuring infection control and resident confidentiality.

You will interact with residents and staff and support department operations on a daily basis. Candidates should have a high school diploma and prior industrial or commercial laundry experience is beneficial.

Qualifikationen

• High School Graduate or equivalent required.
• Previous laundry experience in industrial or commercial setting beneficial.
• Knowledge of laundry machines and chemical cleaning solutions.
• Ability to complete two loads of laundry per hour.
• Communicate effectively with elderly or disabled residents, other employees, and visitors.
• Dependable and work independently as well as under supervision.

Aufgaben

• Sort soiled laundry and presoak as required.
• Operates washers/dryers with appropriate cycles and temperatures and adds cleaning chemicals.
• Load wet linens, dry, fold, and distribute to storage or linen carts.
• Deliver resident laundry to rooms and check items for repair or replacement as needed.
• Follow Infection Control procedures for laundering and handle isolation items accordingly.
• Maintain cleanliness of laundry area, floors, machines, and carts.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
• Attend staff meetings and required in-services.
• Inform Environmental Services Manager of equipment concerns or incidents.
• Perform other tasks as required.
