Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a friendly Food Clerk to help create a welcoming store experience across Fresh departments. You will connect with customers, share product knowledge, and ensure displays are full and appealing.

In this role, you will stock, rotate, and merchandise items, use store technology, and follow strict food safety procedures. Prior retail or food service experience is a plus, but not required.

What You’ll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and well‑run store experience within our Fresh departments.

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
