Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Food Clerk to join our Fresh departments, delivering a welcoming shopping experience and ensuring products are clean, well-stocked, and properly displayed. You will interact with customers, share product knowledge, and help them find what they need.

In this role you’ll work across departments, follow food safety guidelines, and use store technology to complete tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and customer care.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming store experience in Fresh departments.
• Assist customers in finding products and sharing knowledge.
• Maintain fresh, appealing displays; stock and rotate products per standards.
• Use technology to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Support cross-department operations (Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce, Grocery).
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures.

What You’ll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and well‑run store experience within our Fresh departments.

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
