Job summary

KIK Consumer Products in Louisiana is seeking a Forklift Operator for 2nd shift (1:00 pm–9:30 pm, Monday–Friday with some weekends). You will safely move, load, unload and organize materials in a chemical manufacturing environment, following GMP, hazardous-material handling and safety policies.

Starting pay is $26.00 per hour with a $0.50 per hour shift differential. You will support production by moving materials, inspecting products, verifying quantities, and maintaining accurate production

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of forklift experience; any lift type accepted.
• Forklift certification not required to apply; certification provided after hire.
• Experience around raw materials, pallets, and shrink-wrapped pallets preferred.
• Manufacturing/warehouse/industrial experience preferred.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and call-outs.
• Ability to wear PPE and operate around chemicals.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.

Responsibilities

• Inspect products and materials for quality before delivery to production line.
• Verify correct product and quantities for each production run.
• Coordinate with the Press Operator on handling materials.
• Move pallets and other materials throughout the facility.
• Pull production and participate in inventory counts and material reconciliation.
• Complete production, quality, material weights and inventory documentation.
• Perform Daily Forklift Inspection.
• Follow safety procedures around hazardous chemicals and PPE.
• Support continuous improvement to safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
• Assist other Operators as needed.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.
