Quad Packaging, a division of Quad/Graphics, seeks a Second Shift Material Handler (Forklift Driver) for our Franklin, WI facility. The role offers an opportunity to operate modern packaging equipment, with an hourly pay range of $17.50–$19.50 based on skills and experience.

Specific duties include shipping/receiving, labeling, palletizing, and ensuring product integrity. The shift runs 1 pm–9 pm, Monday–Friday, in a climate-controlled facility with safety and teamwork emphasized.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of material handler/shipping/receiving/baler experience preferred
• Computer proficiency required
• Must be able to perform basic arithmetic and read/work with production documents
• Able to communicate problems and malfunctions to co-workers and management
• Physical requirement: lift 50+ lbs and work indoors/outdoors

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and condition
• Gather, fill, and prepare items for shipment; count and document quantities
• Determine shipment methods and compute space and charges
• Load/unload shipments; palletize and bale as needed
• Print labels and affix to pallets; ensure labeling accuracy
• Maintain baler room and assist with certifications and quality
• Cross-train to support multiple functions during shift

Quad Packaging is seeking a Second Shift Material Handler (Forklift Drivers) forour Franklin, WI location. We have the following shift option to offer:

You will work 1 pm- 9 pm Monday-Friday

Essential Functions of this position include:

• Shipping & Receiving - Efficiently and effectively manages incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
• Gather, fill, and/or prepare items for shipment. Count, confirm, and document quantity.
• Determine shipment method, and use knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates. Compute shipment space available and/ or charges per standard procedures.
• Loads and unloads shipments, and manages the palletizing and bailing operations to ensure that production processes accurately meet the customer job order and company recycling and/or disposal protocol.
• As needed, produce a label; print and proofread the copy; if accurate, print the appropriate number of labels. Forward and/or affix to a pallet as needed.
• Protect client products and aid the department in securing and maintaining key industry certifications.
• Operators frequently perform multiple functions during the shift - this includes maintaining the baler room. Cross-train as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Candidates must be at least 18 years old.
• 1+ Years of material handler/Shipping/Receiving/Baler experience preferred but will train the right candidate.
• Be able to perform work-related functions requiring the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, and percent.
• Read, speak, and understand the English language sufficient to interpret instructions, job orders, production sheets, and work-related documents. Able to communicate problems and malfunctions to co-workers and lead/management.
• Must be familiar with machines and tools, including their designs, uses, benefits, repair, and maintenance. Machine repair and maintenance experience preferred.
• Computer proficient.
• Must be able to perform and coordinate the multiple simultaneous tasks of monitoring, inspecting, packaging, labeling, and transfer of completed products.
• Must be able to quickly and accurately compare letters, numbers, objects, pictures, or patterns, including comparing a presented object with a remembered object. Documented adaptability, versatility, and capability preferred.
• Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment and outdoors while loading and unloading deliveries.
• Work Overtime when needed.
