Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. seeks an Electrical Assembler for an entry-level role responsible for basic electrical and mechanical assembly under supervision.

This position is ideal for individuals starting their manufacturing career, with opportunities to grow into more advanced roles. You will assemble and wire simple electro-mechanical systems, create wiring harnesses, and populate electrical panels according to blueprints.

Qualifications

• Read and follow simple schematics and technical documentation.
• Basic understanding of electrical components and circuits.
• Familiarity with multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team and take direction from senior staff.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and wire simple electro-mechanical systems using provided schematics and work instructions.
• Create wiring harnesses and perform basic soldering tasks.
• Populate and wire electrical panels according to blueprints and wire lists.
• Use hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, and soldering irons.
• Perform visual inspections to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow safety protocols and report any hazards or issues to supervisors.
• Collaborate with more senior employees to learn tips and tricks for efficient and high-quality panel wiring.
• Assist higher-level assemblers with more complex builds as needed.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in electrical or mechanical assembly.
• Technical training or coursework in electronics or manufacturing is a plus.
