Job summary

Wakefield Memorial High School is seeking a dependable Custodian for the second shift to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the building. This role requires self-motivation, independence, and dedication to high-quality custodial services.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM with a salary range of $24.08 to $29.20 per hour. The position emphasizes reliability, adherence to cleaning procedures, and ability to work well with staff and students.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, or 3 years custodial/maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of custodial cleaning methods, materials and equipment.
• Ability to perform moderately heavy manual tasks and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial and maintenance duties under general supervision.
• Clean and maintain classrooms, offices, corridors, restrooms and other areas.
• Sweep, dust, scrub, and mop floors; wash and polish surfaces.
• Set up tables and chairs for meetings and events; transport supplies as needed.
• Follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines.
• Complete tasks with minimal direction while maintaining quality.
