Education: A high school education or equivalent is required.

Skills and Knowledge: Knowledge of cleaning techniques and safety procedures. Ability to use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively. Ability to follow directions and work independently. Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods. Knowledge of the products and chemicals used within the building and ability to read and understand Material Safety Data Sheets. Knowledge of emergency procedures and universal precautions.

Experience: None required; previous custodial experience preferred.

Certification: None required.

Other: Ability to maintain positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents, and the community.

Responsibilities include cleaning assigned areas, assisting with general school cleanup, emergency cleaning, trash disposal, setting up for events, maintaining building security, participating in professional development, and other duties as assigned.

Primary Job Functions: Under supervision, clean and maintain the school building and grounds, set up for events, and assist with work requests, maintaining good relationships with all stakeholders and handling confidential information.

Salary Lane: CUS12 - Starting at $16.75/hour.

Work Calendar: 260 days (Year-Round)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, Part-Time (25 hours/week)

Qualifications:

• Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds

Essential Functions:

• Cleaning and maintaining assigned areas, assisting with school cleanup, emergency cleaning, trash disposal, setting up for events, maintaining security, participating in professional development, and other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands: Regularly sit, stand, handle objects, walk, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds. Required vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth, and focus.
