Job summary

dsm-firmenich in Somerset, NJ is seeking a Sr. Compounder on the 2nd shift. This on-site role supports day-to-day operations, with emphasis on safety, quality, and teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will prepare batches, operate dispensing and mixing equipment, and manage materials to meet production schedules while maintaining a clean, compliant work area. The position offers growth opportunities within a global science-led company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of industrial work experience; chemical compounding preferred.
• Minimum two years forklift driving and warehouse experience.
• Working knowledge of inventory control systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve batches' recipe cards and prioritize by earliest ship date.
• Add raw materials manually from dispensing racks.
• Use dosing cluster or mix tanks to fill materials to batch; monitor sequencing.
• Retrieve pre-mixes and add to batch by weight.
• Ensure batch is thoroughly mixed and keep equipment and area clean; report issues.
• Adhere to safety regulations and handle chemical hazards.
