Job summary

UE Manufacturing is seeking a Second Shift CNC Laser Operator in Oklahoma City, OK, to run a CNC-laser (burn table) and related equipment. The role involves interpreting CAD blueprints, loading materials, testing outputs, and supervising cycle execution to meet specs.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, with preferred Associate’s Degree in CNC/mechanical fields and CNC certification. A shift differential applies for evenings. Safety is emphasized.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in CNC programming, computer-related field, or mechanical field preferred.
  • CNC certification from an accredited technical school preferred.

  • Operate a CNC-laser (burn table) and other metal fabrication machines.
  • Read and interpret 2D drawings and 3D CAD blueprints to meet specs.
  • Load raw materials, run tests, and establish full cycles for parts.
  • Supervise machining operations and adjust for quality output.
  • Inspect finished parts for conformance to requirements.
  • Maintain machinery daily and ensure safety culture.
  • Provide training to new operators as necessary.

Job description

Overview

UE Manufacturing is Now Hiring an Second Shift CNC Laser Operator located at 10000 NW 2nd, Oklahoma City, OK 73127. Operates a CNC-laser (burn table), press brake, and tubing benders to cut, press, sculpt, and finish metal. This position will include a shift differential while working on second shift. Second Shift hours are Monday through Thursday 4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m..

Responsibilities
  • Produces machined parts by operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine/burn table.
  • Understanding specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reviewing and understanding 3D CAD blueprints, mechanical drawings, and job orders.
  • Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
  • Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications.
  • Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of parts.
  • Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result.
  • Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly.
  • Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
  • Provide training to new operators as necessary.
  • Maintain a strong, personal commitment to the safety culture.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Proficient knowledge of electronics, machine tools, and fabrication metal shop work required.
  • Excellent reading comprehension and math skills, to include algebra, trigonometry, and physics.
  • Ability to continue education for new techniques and programs as they emerge.
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures.
  • Must be capable of utilizing proper personal protective equipment (PPE).

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma/general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Associate’s Degree in CNC programming, computer-related field, or mechanical field preferred.
  • CNC certification from an accredited technical school preferred.
