Flushing Community Schools is seeking an 8 Hour General Cleaner for the Second Shift at Springview/Central to maintain cleanliness and appearance of the assigned buildings, including floors, fixtures, windows and restrooms.

Required: high school diploma or equivalent; ability to read and understand written directions; clear oral and written communication; honesty; neat appearance; and pride in work. Wage: $16.23 per hour. Applications by internal deadline; external: until filled.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the assigned buildings.
• Mop, sweep, and scrub floors and other surfaces.
• Clean and renew floor surfaces and fixtures.
• Dust furniture, show cases, fixtures, windows, doors and related furnishings.
• Wash and clean light fixtures and restrooms.
• Work on ladders and scaffolds when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisors or Building Principal.
