Job description

Summary

Baesman Group, Inc. has an excellent opportunity for individuals with no experience but a strong desire to start a career in printing. We are seeking an Offset Second Press Operator for our third shift operations. This role involves ensuring the timely and cost-effective production of high-quality printed materials by acting as a feeder operator alongside a team leader on various printing presses. Candidates should be hardworking, eager to learn, able to stand for long periods, and capable of regularly lifting up to 50 pounds.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Perform assigned activities to produce completed jobs, meeting company quality and quantity standards.
2. Assist the press operator with machine setup.
3. Obtain necessary supplies for setup and ensure correct materials are allocated to each job.
4. Determine material needs, complete material request forms, and coordinate with the shipping department for staging.
5. Review job specifications, including job orders, print masters, proofs, and samples.
6. Participate in cleaning and maintenance of machines.
7. Load paper stock and maintain feeder operations.
8. Add ink to the reservoir to maintain specified levels.
9. Complete and maintain all required paperwork accurately.
10. Follow all safety rules, work rules, and regulations.
11. Maintain good housekeeping in the work area and throughout the department.
12. Take direction from the pressman and work effectively in a team environment.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Experience, and Education:

1. Dependable with a strong work ethic.

4. Mechanically inclined with problem-solving skills.
5. High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
