Job summary

Crowley Maritime Corporation is seeking a Second Mate to support safe navigation and supervise deck operations on LNG barges. You will work under the Master and Chief Mate, ensuring compliance with navigation plans and company safety procedures.

The role requires 3rd Mate Unlimited or equivalent with Oceans Endorsement, STCW endorsements, and proficiency in MS Office. Travel and international duties may be involved, with a focus on safety and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Mate 1600 Gross Tons or equivalent (3rd Mate Unlimited) with Oceans Endorsement.
• STCW with all required endorsements (OICNW, RADAR/ARPA, ECDIS, VSO/VPDSD, CPR/First Aid, AF)
• Mate of towing vessels and Lifeboatman
• Current TWIC and Valid Passport

Responsibilities

• Oversees safe navigation of the vessel on their watch and executes the master's orders.
• Supervises the crew during deck operations and maintenance activities.
• Maintains vessel logs, navigation charts and proper watchkeeping.
