Job Title: Teacher Assistant

Job Status: Permanent/Part Time

St. Joseph/St. Robert School is seeking a caring, energetic, and dependable Teacher Assistant to work nineteen hours/week to support our second grade classroom for the upcoming school year.

This role is a wonderful opportunity for someone who loves working with young children and wants to be part of a faith-filled, joyful school community.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting the classroom teacher with daily instructional activities
• Supporting students during lessons, centers, and transitions
• Helping maintain a positive, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
• Supervising students during lunch, recess, and arrival/dismissal as needed
• Assisting with classroom preparation, organization, and materials
• Providing individual or small-group support to students

Qualifications:

• Experience working with young children (school or childcare setting preferred)
• A patient, positive, and flexible approach to working with students
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to supporting the mission and values of a Catholic school
• High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in education a plus
