Job summary

Bartlesville Independent School District is seeking a Teacher Assistant for Richard Kane Elementary School to support classroom instruction and student supervision. The role includes assisting the teacher, preparing instructional materials, and supervising students inside and outside the classroom.

The ideal candidate will have an associate degree or college credits, strong people skills, and the ability to help students learn and stay organized in a busy elementary environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 48 college credits or have passed OGET; ParaPro or WorkKeys test.
• Ability to stand and walk up to seven hours.
• Good people skills to positively impact learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and assists students individually and in groups in an instructional capacity.
• Grades papers and prepares instructional materials.
• Performs clerical duties related to the classroom.
• Supervises students outside of the classroom.
• Prepares bulletin boards.
• Assists students on computers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Administers, scores and records tests.
• Works with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning.
• Serves as information hub for substitutes and maintains ethical confidentiality of student information.
