Prepare and cook menu items for patient meals, cafeteria meal service at catering events with high regard to quality, presentation, and service. Follow recipes and check all items against the recipe cards. Participate in catering programs demonstrating dining room etiquette and guest relations. Perform other special projects and duties as assigned. Demonstrate knowledge and use of equipment in the kitchen.

This is a full-time day shift position 11:00am-7:00pm including weekends and holidays, located at NewYork-Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

Required Criteria:

• High school diploma or GED
• One year of related experience
• Computer literacy
• Knowledge of cooking and the practices and procedures of a kitchen to perform non-repetitive analytical work
• Ability to work as a team member and communicate effectively with kitchen staff
