Ashberry Healthcare Limited is recruiting a Second Chef for Moorhouse Care Home in Hindhead, Surrey. You will support the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation and maintaining high kitchen hygiene, ensuring meals meet residents' dietary needs. This role requires a passion for nourishing, tasty meals and the ability to work well in a small team.

Qualifications

• Experience in a professional kitchen, ideally within care or hospitality.
• Dietary knowledge for older adults is beneficial.
• Food Hygiene certificate (Level 2 or above).
• Ability to work under pressure in a small team.
• Passion for preparing tasty, comforting meals for residents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve balanced meals meeting residents' dietary needs.
• Assist Head Chef with menu planning, stock control and ordering supplies.
• Maintain kitchen hygiene and HACCP standards.
• Help supervise and train kitchen staff as required.
• Keep the kitchen clean, safe and well organised.
• Adapt meals for residents with modified or specialist diets.
• Contribute to a positive dining experience supporting residents' wellbeing.
