Job summary

Edmonson Co. High School is seeking a 2nd Assistant Athletic Coach for the ECHS Boys Baseball program. The role supports coaching staff in practices, motivates students, and teaches game strategies and techniques. Candidates must be 21+, have a high school diploma or GED, and pass background checks.

Responsibilities include instructing players, supervising during games, and assisting with equipment, records, and eligibility forms. Leadership and sportsmanship are essential.

Qualifications

Must be 21 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
Must pass all required background checks.

Responsibilities

Instruct players in rules, equipment, and techniques of baseball.
Assist with individual and small group practice activities.
Assess players' skills and monitor during practices and games.
Help determine game strategy and lineups.
Supervise athletes during practices and competitions.
Follow procedures for athlete injuries.
Model sportsmanship toward players, officials, and spectators.
Maintain the equipment room and secure gear.
Distribute equipment, supplies, and uniforms as directed.
Participate in parents' nights, banquets, awards, and pep rallies.
Assist with eligibility forms and emergency data collection.
Maintain nondiscriminatory practices in all activities.
Perform other duties as assigned by Head Coach/AD/Principal.
