Southeast Connections, LLC in Kernersville, NC is seeking a skilled welder to install, maintain, and repair natural gas pipelines. You will operate torches and welding equipment, join components, and help ensure system integrity.

Candidates should have an OQ certification in pipeline welding, a High School Diploma or equivalent, and at least 3 years of welding experience. The role requires flexibility for long hours and travel within a 4-hour radius of the home office.

Description

Position Overview:

Essential Functions:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Perform welding operations for the installation, maintenance, and repair of natural gas pipelines.
• Operate torches, power supplies, and welding equipment to fuse metal components securely.
• Strike arcs by touching electrodes to metal surfaces, completing electrical circuits.
• Assist in pipeline construction, repair, and integrity maintenance.
• Work in various environments, including job sites and fabrication shops.
• Must be able to pass pipe welding test for various gas companies, conforming with ASME certification requirements.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety protocols, and quality standards.

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• OQ (Operator Qualification) certification in pipeline welding.
• Three (3) years of welding experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. The employee is often required to stand, walk, and use hands/fingers.

• Able and willing to work long hours including day, night, and weekend shifts as needed, and work outside of normal hours.
• Able to walk, lift, reach, stoop, stand, grasp, balance, climb, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Able to climb a minimum of 5 rungs of an extension ladder.
• Ability to travel to project sites that are typically within a 4-hour radius of the home office.
• Able to work in outside environments being subjected to weather changes, noise, vibrations, and job hazards
