DLC, an Addison Group Company, is adding talent to its San Francisco-based team of SEC Reporting Manager Consultants.

We are currently seeking experienced SEC Reporting Manager Consultants to join a talented team supporting clients with interim and project-based accounting needs.

DLC serves clients from offices in Atlanta, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Southern California. Our Bay Area clients include Yahoo, Google, Union Bank, Levi’s, Genentech, Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Applied Materials, Cisco Systems, Juniper Networks, Salesforce, Dreyer’s Ice Cream, and many venture capital, hedge fund, and private equity firms.

Our Consultants typically have backgrounds in Financial Planning & Analysis, CPA credentials, or both. As a DLC Consultant, you will provide solutions across various industries, companies, and disciplines, working directly with finance and operational executives.

Job Responsibilities
  • Drive month-end and quarter-end close processes, including preparing and reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations for expenses, assets, equity, and cash activities.
  • Assist in preparing quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-Qs and 10-Ks), including supporting documentation.
  • Prepare audit schedules for quarterly reviews and annual audits.
  • Research and document technical accounting issues.
  • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Rule 404 internal controls.
  • Promote process improvements.
  • Participate in monthly budget vs. actual meetings, investigating variances.
  • Supervise members of the accounting team.
Experience & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration with an Accounting focus.
  • 2-4 years of Big 4 accounting experience (preferred).
  • 3 years of corporate general ledger experience (preferred).
  • CPA certification desired.
  • Experience drafting SEC filings (10-Qs and 10-Ks).
  • Strong understanding of GAAP.
  • Ability to research complex transactions and communicate guidance.
  • Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance preferred.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, multitask, and manage others.
  • Detail-oriented with high ethics and integrity.
  • Willing to develop and take on more responsibility.
Systems Requirements
  • Experience with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle.
  • Implementation experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook.
Other Requirements
  • Strong accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and excellent communication.
  • Overall experience of 2-7 years.
