SEC Regulatory Matters – Senior Associate

Job Description: As a Senior Associate in the SEC Regulatory Matters Group, you will expand your knowledge about SEC filings and assist the firm with fulfilling its PCAOB reporting obligations.

Responsibilities:

  • Track audit reports and consents issued by the Grant Thornton LLP or any other GTIL member firms and monitor client-related alerts
  • Track issuer audit clients won/lost from client-related alerts
  • PCAOB reporting - Review PCAOB forms and reports using the Firm’s tools; track forms filed with the PCAOB; cross-check filings with external databases; lead auditor tenure tracking
  • Liaise with other firm groups (legal, P&C, other professional practice groups, etc.) in execution of PCAOB and related reporting
  • Support foreign registration reporting activities
  • Draft AQR communications and proofread thought leadership publications
  • Assist with the Quality & Monitoring Remediation efforts including updating process documentation and providing materials for testing
  • Work with audit engagement teams regarding use of other accounting firms, including providing professional reputation and standing information, and tracking the use of other firms
  • Maintain SharePoint sites and internal databases
  • Monitor internal mailboxes
  • Coordinate cross-border filing reviews, process billing for such engagements, and monitor accounts receivable
  • Supervise SEC Regulatory Matters paraprofessional in initial work around above topics
  • Other duties, as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Proficient with Smartsheet preferred
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong teamwork and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently
