Its versatile meeting and event spaces, combined with proximity to the Caesars Superdome, create an engaging environment for hospitality professionals serving both business and leisure travelers. Housed in a historic 19th century Creole townhome built in 1832, Seaworthy showcases wild-caught, sustainably harvested oysters from American waters- including the Gulf Coast, East Coast, and West Coast- alongside locally sourced fish and game. Part of The Barnett Hotel, we are looking for a part-time host for the Seaworthy team. The Host is responsible for creating a warm and welcoming first impression for guests. This role manages seating, waitlists, guest flow, and communication with servers to ensure an efficient and enjoyable dining experience.
Education High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred.
Customer service experience strongly preferred.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational and guest-flow management abilities.
Professional appearance and friendly demeanor.
Basic knowledge of reservation systems and POS platforms preferred.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
