Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Ability to provide consecutive interpretation.
• Successful completion of relevant language/interpreting evaluations.
• Résumé in English required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to travel to onsite assignments.
• Ability to meet health/immunization requirements if needed.
• Background/drug screening may be required per client/site.
• 1+ year of professional interpreting experience.
• Experience in medical/legal/community interpreting preferred.
• Relevant interpreter training or certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate consecutive interpretation between English and Spanish during onsite assignments.
• Provide remote interpretation by telephone or video when applicable.
• Follow interpreter protocols and client requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy, security, and data-protection requirements (HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA).
• Maintain professional interactions with clients, patients, and healthcare professionals.
• Maintain language proficiency and subject-matter knowledge for accurate performance.
