Qualifications

• Previous veterinary assistant experience in a general practice, specialty, or emergency setting.
• Strong patient handling and restraint skills.
• Experience supporting diagnostics, treatments, and surgical procedures.
• Excellent communication and client service skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and credentialed technicians with examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Obtain patient histories and perform vital sign checks (TPR).
• Restrain patients safely and compassionately.
• Support diagnostic procedures, including radiographs and in-house tests.
• Assist with surgical and dental procedures and monitor recovery.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
• Educate clients on preventive care and discharge instructions.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain a clean, organized hospital environment.
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture.
