Job summary

Nelson Electric is seeking an experienced electrical apprentice to join our team in Idaho. You will work alongside journeyman electricians to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems across multiple sites in the region.

You will read blueprints, prepare materials, and ensure work is performed safely and accurately. You will follow OSHA standards, use ladders and platforms safely, and report hazards promptly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Enrolled in an electrician program or apprenticeship.
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code and local codes.
• Current Electrical Apprentice License / valid Driver’s License.
• Two years of hands-on electrical construction experience preferred.
• Able to read/interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist journeyman electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
• Prepare materials, use standard electrical tools, read blueprints and schematics.
• Complete assigned work safely and accurately.
• Follow OSHA requirements and report hazards or unsafe conditions.
• Maintain and organize tools and equipment; follow safe practices around stored energy.
