Job summary

The Zachry Group is seeking an Industrial Dirt Equipment Operator to safely operate skid steers, excavators, graders, and other earthmoving equipment on site. You will perform daily inspections, document findings, and ensure operations meet safety standards.

Work includes following supervisor directions, assessing work areas for hazards, assisting with dirt work, and reporting mechanical concerns promptly. Overtime and weekend shifts may be required in a refinery maintenance environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a current TWIC card.
• Minimum 2 years of dirt equipment operating experience.
• Ability to meet all physical requirements of the position.
• Must be able to work overtime and pass a motor vehicle records check if required.

Responsibilities

• Operate various dirt/construction equipment to perform earthmoving and grading activities.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and document findings.
• Ensure equipment is operated safely per company/site requirements.
• Follow directions from signals or supervisors during operations.
• Evaluate work areas for safety hazards and operational requirements before starting work.
• Assist with excavation, grading, and site preparation work.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and promptly report mechanical issues.
• Assist other trades with non-equipment tasks during downtime as assigned.
• Follow refinery, client, and Zachry safety standards and procedures.
