Job summary

GreatFalls Construction in Maine is seeking skilled carpenters with at least five years of hands-on experience to join our growing team. You will read blueprints, lay out, frame, install structures, and mentor apprentices while maintaining safety and quality on commercial and residential projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on carpentry experience.
• Ability to independently perform framing, layout, finish work with minimal supervision.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety policies and comply with safety requirements.
• Study blueprints, sketches, and project plans to determine layouts and material requirements.
• Measure, mark, cut, shape, and assemble materials with hand and power tools.
• Install structures and fixtures including framing, windows, doors, flooring, trim, and hardware.
• Verify accuracy and alignment of structures using levels and measuring tools.
• Work from ladders, scaffolding, and elevated platforms as needed.
• Mentor and support carpenter apprentices by sharing knowledge and best practices.
• Communicate professionally with supervisors, subcontractors, clients, and team members.
