Job summary

TruBlue of East Wake & Northern Johnston County is seeking an experienced Craftsman/Carpenter to perform advanced carpentry and home improvement projects in Wake and Johnston Counties. The role offers a full-time, Monday–Friday schedule and pays an hourly rate of $28–$35 with performance bonuses.

Ideal candidates will have extensive finish carpentry skills, the ability to work independently, and comfort working in occupied homes, including homes of seniors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of paid carpentry, remodeling, or residential construction experience.
• Strong finish carpentry skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Extensive knowledge of residential construction methods and repair techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Comfortable working in occupied homes, including homes of seniors and vulnerable adults.
• Must provide and maintain professional-grade tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced carpentry and home improvement projects.
• Install and repair doors, trim, cabinetry, flooring, decks, and other residential features.
• Complete drywall repair and finishing work.
• Assist with bathroom updates and accessibility modifications.
• Perform general home repair and maintenance projects.
• Deliver professional service and exceptional customer experiences.
