U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) seeks a reemployed Border Patrol Agent to protect America’s borders and enforce immigration laws. The role offers an expedited pre-employment process, accelerated re-entry training, and potential salary offset while re-employed.

Salary starts at $91,985.00 (GS-12, Step 1) and can reach $119,583.00 (GS-12, Step 10). You may select up to two preferred duty locations; Sector assignments vary and may include the Texas border region.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience in law enforcement or other responsible work that demonstrated the ability to make arrests and exercise sound judgment in the use of firearms.

Responsibilities

• Detect and question persons suspected of violating immigration or customs laws and inspect documents for citizenship or violations.
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders using surveillance and night operations.
• Patrol international boundaries and coastal waterways using diverse government assets to fulfill USBP missions.
