Job summary

YMCA of Honolulu's Camp Erdman is seeking a Program Instructor for the seasonal term January 3–May 22, 2027. You will lead safe and fun activities for students, families, and guests, while assisting with cabin turnover when needed. You must live on-site in housing provided and work 5 of 7 days, Tue-Sat, with weekends occasionally.

Comprehensive child-centered mentorship is required. Experience with children in camp or outdoor settings, plus CPR/AED/First Aid, TB test, and Lifeguard training are

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a camp or outdoor recreational setting.
• Requires understanding of childhood development and group management in a general camp setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead a variety of safe and fun activities for students, families, and guests at Camp Erdman.
• Assist with turnover of rental cabins as needed.
• Live on-site in housing as assigned by Camp Director.
• Work 5 of 7 days per week (Tue-Sat typically); occasional weekend work with two days off.
• Be a role model and mentor aligned with YMCA mission and goals.
