Job summary

Target is seeking a Yard Driver to operate tractors and trailers in the distribution center yard, ensuring fast, safe moves and accurate dock positioning.

You will coordinate via radio with Dispatch and yard staff, perform safety inspections, and work in a fast-paced environment with strict safety protocols. Requires a valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 60 lbs.

Starting Hourly Rate $25.50 USD per hour. You may also earn additional compensation in the form of a shift differential, ranging from $2.00 to $3.50 per hour, based on eligibility. Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and in some instances may include education, work experience and certifications. As a Yard Driver, you will drive and operate tractors/trailers in the yard, in a safe and efficient manner, while making trailer moves to doors and locations in the yard. You must be able to skillfully back up trailers into all types of dock and yard locations, as well as hook and unhook trailers. You will need to maintain communication with Dispatch, Yard Coordinators and Operation Managers via the radio. This work will also require attention to detail and a focus on safety procedures and protocols, including the performance of routine safety inspections of vehicles. In this role, it is also vital to complete job tasks assigned accurately and on time.
