Job summary

Cavender’s is seeking a Seasonal Sales Associate to deliver exceptional customer service and build relationships with shoppers in a fast-paced retail setting. You will help customers find products, stay up-to-date on Western/workwear trends, and support merchandising updates while keeping the sales floor clean and organized.

You’ll greet customers, recommend products, and use effective selling techniques to reach store goals, all while maintaining a neat appearance and adhering to company

Qualifications

• Ability to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Ability to effectively sell merchandise while achieving individual and store performance goals.
• Ability to regularly lift, move, and position merchandise throughout the work shift.
• Ability to safely use store equipment, including handheld devices, step stools, and dollies, in accordance with company policies.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on the needs of the business.
• Ability to comprehend basic instructions, interpret documents, and apply them to daily tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Must be able to read and understand English.
• Must stay alert and productive during assigned work hours.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Best of the WEST customer service by greeting every customer and engaging throughout their shopping experience.
• Build customer relationships by identifying needs, recommending products, and providing knowledgeable service.
• Use effective selling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining a customer-first approach.
• Maintain knowledge of merchandise, promotions, and current Western and workwear trends.
• Assist customers with product selection, special orders, and locating merchandise in the store.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor by stocking merchandise and recovering displays.
• Complete housekeeping tasks, including dusting, mopping, and vacuuming.
• Ensure merchandise is properly displayed, signed, stocked, and located according to company standards.
• Remain attentive to store safety and security and report concerns to store management.
• Report to work on time and maintain a neat, professional appearance.
• Understand and follow all company policies and procedures.
• Assist with merchandising updates, price changes, inventory projects, and other assigned store tasks.
• Any other duties as assigned.
