This location is a Distribution Center. Overtime opportunities are available throughout the summer months. Throughout June- September will include mandatory and overtime hours based on needs of the business.

Lakeside Book Company is currently seeking a Seasonal Shipping Material Handler to play a vital role in our operations. As a Shipping Material Handler, you will be at the heart of our logistics process, ensuring that products are packed, labeled, and shipped efficiently and accurately. Responsibilities

• Receive and check incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
• Sort and organize materials in accordance with warehouse procedures.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure timely dispatch of goods.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shipping area at all times.
• Assist in inventory management by conducting periodic stock checks.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a warehouse/distribution environment required.
• Steel-toe shoes are required for this position.
• Physical ability to stand, lift, bend, stoop, reach, and carry up to 75lbs, throughout the shift.
• Basic computer skills for inventory management.
• Ability to work mandatory overtime which could include Saturdays.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure order accuracy.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technology.
• Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and guidelines

Pay, Shift, & Location

• Pay - $17.50/hr with a $1.50 weekend shift differential
• Shift – Friday to Monday, 6:00am-4:00pm, with mandatory overtime are required.
• Location – 5550 W. 74 th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46268
• This is a seasonal position beginning as early as April and lasting through the duration of our peak season, with no guarantee of a permanent role offer.
