Job summary

City of Richland is hiring for a 2026/2027 seasonal position in Wastewater Maintenance. The role requires basic education and possibly a CDL Class A with tanker endorsement. Duties include jet/vac cleaning, manhole and catch basin maintenance, and CCTV inspections of sewer and storm mains.

Must be able to work after hours, weekends, and holidays as needed. Background/reference checks and pre-employment physical will be required for final candidates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of water/wastewater/stormwater maintenance experience preferred.
• CDL Class A with tanker endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates hand and power tools and equipment to access water, sewer and storm mains.
• Lays concrete, repairs fences and landscaping related to utility work.
• Performs general maintenance and repairs (plumbing, painting, carpentry).
• Keeps time and material records and takes before/after photos of job sites.
• Performs CCTV inspections of sewer and storm mains where required.
