Job summary

The Salvation Army Intermountain Div Denver Metro Warehouse in Aurora, CO 80010 is hiring a Seasonal Warehouse Worker/Driver for a 40-hour workweek, 7:00am-3:00pm at a rate of $20/hour. The role requires a class R license, ability to lift 25 pounds, and some driving responsibility throughout the day.

As a full-time, non-exempt temporary position, duties include loading and delivering donations, maintaining warehouse safety, operating forklift equipment, stocking items, and coordinating food bank

Job Title: Seasonal Warehouse Worker/Driver

FLSA Status: Full-Time - non-exempt - Temporary
Reports to: Distribution Center Director

Schedule: 40 hours weekly, 7:00am-3:00pm

Rate of Pay: $20/hour

Position Summary

As a warehouse/driver full‑time employee the position requires a class R valid license. Food safety general knowledge is key. Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds consistently for 6‑8. Driving can vary anywhere from 2‑8 hours per day. Warehouse work varies as well.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Driving/Using Warehouse Equipment/Warehouse work
  • Picking up donations and delivering them to corps, other salvation army ministries, shelters, and other ministries in the mountain region for those in need. These donations can range from food to house goods to toiletries to mattresses. Being timely and working safely is the primary goal when driving.
  • Maintaining warehouse decency within the aurora distribution center is key.
  • Being certified and using a forklift (both sit down and stand‑up) is a requirement in the salvation army distribution center.
  • Stock, Shelve, Store items inside the warehouse cleanly, neatly and easily accessible in order to distribute when needed.
  • Responsible for picking up Food bank orders for all corps in the Denver metro area and delivering them in a timely manner.
  • Helps facilitate, coordinate, and set up special events, holiday and seasonal events throughout the year with multiple different departments of TSA.
  • Moving heavy furniture
  • Removing trash and recycled materials from the warehouse
  • Performing general operational maintenance on warehouse vehicles
  • Maintaining weekly driver schedule for deliveries and pickups
  • Cleaning out and assisting with manual labor on moving retiring and/or incoming and outgoing officers.
• Customer Service/Delivery
  • Being cordial to warehouse employees, general public, donors, and the people that the company services when facilitating events, distributing goods and donations, and delivering items to salvation army corps and ministries.
  • Completing tasks given from different departments inside of Salvation army at any given time (Denver Metro Social Services, Multiple Corps, Shelters, DHQ, THQ, Connection Center)
  • Create Methods and resources that can service the community within the distribution center.
