Hiring Immediately -- Seasonal Workers

Our only Distribution Center is located at 14701 N Hwy 57, Evansville, Indiana, 47725, and ships shoes to over 400 stores. A key component of our success has been the people that work in our Stores, Distribution Center, and Corporate office. Position: Seasonal Temp -- DC

You will be assigned to either Shipping/Receiving or Processing based on the business need of the day. The work involves 8-hour shifts, with a commitment of at least 4 weeks per year, not exceeding 12 weeks. The position typically works second shift, Monday-Friday, from 3:30 pm to midnight.

Starting rate: $16.50/hour

Responsibilities:

• Resolve product discrepancies, such as incorrect price or case labels and other product-related issues.
• Sort, scan, and package accessories for shipment.
• Build cardboard cartons, affix labels, and prepare boxes for use in Tilt Tray.
• Unpack cartons and place individual shoe boxes on powered conveyor.
• Scan and pack individual shoe boxes from Tilt Tray Sorter System into cartons by store location.
• Load merchandise from a conveyor onto semi-trailer for shipment.
• Unload merchandise from semi-trailers to a conveyor.
• Read case labels, then sort and stack cases onto pallets or conveyor.

Requirements:

• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Quickly read, learn, and understand standard operating and safety procedures.
• Make reasonable decisions and count accurately.
• Follow safety guidelines and standard operating procedures.
• Work overtime including extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Work for at least 4 weeks and up to 12 weeks in a year.
• Work an 8-hour shift.
• Lift up to 70 lbs as required.
