Job summary

UPS is seeking a seasonal supervisor to oversee safety, production and attendance within a warehouse setting in Lenexa, KS. This role focuses on maintaining high standards for productivity, accuracy, and customer service while leading and developing a workgroup.

The position emphasizes building strong relationships across management and employees, facilitating training, and ensuring compliance with safety policies and procedures. A background in management and a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lift 70 lbs/32 kgs.
• Availability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week.
• Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent - Preferred.
• Management experience - Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains good working relationships with employees, management, and customers.
• Facilitates training with new and current employees.
• Ensures employees adhere to safety policies and procedures at all times, per department, station, corporate and local government requirements.
• Manages department resources to ensure maximum output, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Establishes and promotes a positive, team-oriented work environment emphasizing employee involvement and proactive communication.
• Implements employee personal development plans for continuing professional growth.
• Ensures all employees receive orientation, skills and safety training and regular evaluations.
