Job summary

Safelite in Katy, TX is hiring a Seasonal Fulfillment Center Associate II to prep glass parts for distribution and support our field teams. You’ll operate MHE, palletize goods, and use RF scanners to receive, pick and ship inventory, while following safety rules.

The role offers a 2nd shift (5:00pm–1:30am) with pay at $21.50/hour, plus benefits including tuition reimbursement up to $5,250 per year, 401(k) with company match, medical plans, PTO and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Weight limit for equipment is 300 pounds.
• Experience with MHE such as forklift, order picker, or reach truck.
• Able to work in varying environments and stand for long shifts.
• Physically able to lift 35 pounds frequently, up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Punctual and reliable.
• Positive attitude with a focus on service.

Responsibilities

• Operate at least one MHE such as forklift or order picker to heights up to 40 feet.
• Daily warehousing tasks such as pallet breakdown and dunnage preparation.
• Use handheld RF scanners to receive, pick, ship, or locate inventory.
• Follow safety and PPE requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Build steel pallets and prepare for inventory replenishment.
• Assist with offloading tractor trailers.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned.

What You'll Do

• Operate at least one piece of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as a forklift, reach truck, or order picker raised to heights of up to 40 feet.
• Engage in daily warehousing tasks such as pallet breakdown and dunnage preparation.
• Utilize handheld RF scanners to receive, pick, ship, or locate inventory.
• Adhere to all safety and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Maintain a secure and clean work area through general housekeeping.
• Build steel pallets and prepare them for inventory replenishment.
• Assist with offloading tractor trailers by hand.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• To safely operate the order picker and comply with equipment manufacturer specifications and required safety regulations, there is a weight limit set at 300 pounds. If you are hired to operate this equipment, you will need to weigh under 300lbs.
• Experience with some MHE equipment such as a forklift, order picker, or reach truck.
• Comfortable with working in various environmental conditions, such as seasonal heat or cold, and staying in a stationary position for long shifts.
• Strength to perform physical tasks involving repetitive moving or raising of objects weighing up to 35 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Punctuality and consistent attendance to help your teammates.
