Job summary

Samaritan's Purse in Boone, NC is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join the Operation Christmas Child team. The role involves assisting with the movement, loading, unloading, and organization of shoebox materials while prioritizing safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities include dock work, forklift operations with certification, inventory processing, and quality control; shifts are 1st (7:45 am–3:45 pm) or 2nd (2:45 pm–10:30 pm) through mid-November to mid-December.

Qualifications

• Able to lift and/or move 50 lbs. (consistently over an 7–8 hour shift for a dock worker)
• Must be a team player
• Inventory and pallet jack experience
• Familiarity with trucking and/or container inventory requirements
• Familiarity with barcode scanning

Responsibilities

• Dock Team: Assist with the safe movement, loading, unloading, and organization of materials in the Processing Center.
• Forklift: Load/unload shipping containers and move materials with safety for volunteers and staff; forklift certification required.
• Inventory Team: Assist in processing inventory per OCC policies.
• Quality Control Team: Assist with quality checks of shoebox processing and validation.
