Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. in Bethlehem, PA is seeking Seasonal Material Handlers for 1st shift (Sunday–Tuesday, 5 a.m.–5 p.m.) and 2nd shift (Sunday–Tuesday, 5 p.m.–5 a.m.) to support fast-moving operations in the facility.

You will move material and inventory, use hand trucks and scanners, verify orders, label products, and help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workspace. A basic math ability and reading safety rules are required, plus teamwork and reliability.

Qualifications

• To be at least 18 years of age.
• The ability to do basic math calculations, with and without a calculator.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedural documents.

Responsibilities

SEASONAL MATERIAL HANDLERS

1st shift, Sunday - Tuesday, 5 a.m. - 5 p.m.

2nd shift, Sunday - Tuesday, 5 p.m. - 5 a.m.

2nd shift, Wedesday - Saturday, 3:30 p.m. - 2 a.m.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Support operations by moving material and inventory throughout the facility
• Use hand trucks, conveyors or other material handling equipment

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• To be at least 18 years of age
• The ability to do basic math calculations, with and without a calculator
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedural documents

It’d be great if you also have:

• 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including possible overtime when needed
• Experience using a handheld scanner
• Positive attitude and the ability to work in a team to achieve goals and objectives

This job requires the ability to:

• Lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights up to 50 lbs.
• Stand, sit or walk for prolonged periods of time
• Bend, stoop, squat, twist, push and pull
• Handle or manage tools or equipment
• Tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments
