Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Seasonal Material Handler for the Front Half 2nd shift in California. The role supports operations by moving material and inventory, using hand trucks, conveyors, and scanners.

Expect packing, labeling, counting, and adherence to safety standards on a fast-paced warehouse floor. Position is seasonal with no guarantee of conversion. Schedule is Sunday–Thursday, 3:00pm–11:30pm; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to do basic math calculations, with and without a calculator.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedural documents.
• 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment is a plus.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including possible overtime when needed.
• Experience using a handheld scanner.
• Positive attitude and the ability to work in a team to achieve goals.

Responsibilities

• Move material and inventory throughout the facility.
• Use hand trucks, conveyors or other material handling equipment.
• Perform duties that may include packing, scanning, kitting or counting products.
• Verify orders, label products and use a handheld scanner.
• Adhere to the 7S program.
• Work in a safe manner that protects you and your team members.
