Job summary

Scholastic is seeking a Warehouse Associate I for the West Chester, OH location. This Part Time Seasonal role offers 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday–Friday with flexibility during peak school-year periods. The role involves packing, inventory, scanner use, and order fulfillment to support school book fairs.

Seminars, safety, and teamwork are emphasized in daily duties. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and strong teamwork, communication, and basic math skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to demonstrate basic product scanner proficiency with minimal errors.
• Strong team player with the ability to get along with co-workers.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, basic math, and ability to read English safety rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in producing book fairs by packing cases, boxes, and displays with book and non-book products according to standards.
• Demonstrate proficiency in packing components for cases, boxes, and displays.
• Meet minimum production, accuracy, or quality standards.
• Ensure outbound merchandise is clean, safe, and in good condition.
• Assist in processing returned book fairs by unpacking and repacking to standards.
• Monitor inventory levels to support proper packing.
• Learn scanner proficiency for item inquiries and replenishment of pick locations.
• Assist in picking and packing customer reorders.
• Keep work area neat, safe, and organized at all times.
• Contribute to seasonal inventory resets and finish work functions.
