Summer Associate - Summer Seasonal Opportunity - Make Extra Cash this summer!

Our Logistics, Distribution Center and Warehouse team has a great summer opening here in Hanover, Maryland!

Our summer seasonal associates have a chance to learn about the HVAC-R distribution and wholesale industry, learn new skills, and build your network while you earn $$ this summer season!

• Positions open starting from May - June through August 2025.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Pay Rate: $22/hr.
• Monday – Friday - first shift (day 7a-3:30p) and second shift (mid-shift 3p-11p) occasional nights and Saturdays as needed.
• Will work onsite at our site on 7481 Coca Cola Dr, STE 200, Hanover, Maryland 21076.

Part-Time and Full-Time opportunities - Part-time hours (4-6 hours per day) and Full-Time Hours (7-8 hours per day) - all roles are scheduled Monday - Friday day shift (no nights or weekends required).

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Summer Associate on our first shift (day 7a-3:30p) and second shift (mid-shift 3p-11p) team at our warehouse and distribution center where we manage wholesale and B2B products for our Mid-Atlantic customers.

What does a Summer Associate learn about and do?

• Understanding the logistics and operations of our commercial, institutional, and wholesale business operations.
• Stores materials/equipment as needed in the facility.
• Upholds environmental health and safety standards.
• Works closely with internal customers such as Distribution Center team members, Branch Associates, and Sales Managers.
• Provides excellent customer service to external customers who visit the site (mechanical contractors, dealers, owners).
• Learn parts tracking and management process to maintain parts and supplies and pull orders when needed.
• Collaborate with forklift team to support material handling to plan for the staging, loading, and unloading product process.
• Other duties as assigned by the Distribution Center Manager.
• Follows safety procedures and training to ensure a safe and productive workspace.
• Willing to work a daily schedule from approximately 8:00am - 4:00pm (some teams may plan a work schedule that can flex up to 60 minutes to support the business needs).

Qualifications:

• Ability to learn processes and follow detailed instructions.
• Training or experience with reviewing written task requirements or orders to complete a process or task.
• Previous training or experience in retail, customer service, material handling, or product delivery or similar service-related experience or training is a plus.
• Ability to safely work in a warehouse and distribution environment.
• Recent graduates and students are welcome - must be 18 years of age or older to be considered.
• A willingness to train and learn - also, if you have general experience supporting retail, warehouse, and logistics, pulling and tracking parts or materials, and tracking information is preferred, but not required.
• Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills to enter timecard, review training materials, view video tutorials, and review company documents on a company-provided computer.
• Proven commitment to customer service and a safe work environment.
• Must be team-oriented and willing to work with a diverse group of co-workers.

Other Important Notes:

• Summer Associates must complete both a Pre-employment Background Check and a Drug Screen urinalysis prior to hire (company paid).
• Our Summer Associates and team members are paid bi-weekly (every other Friday).
