Job summary

National Park Service is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator (Seasonal) to support VIP and Youth Programs across California. You will manage volunteer projects, coordinate communications with volunteers, and maintain program records.

Responsibilities include recruiting, interviewing, reporting, and developing procedures to improve efficiency. The role may require weekend work and adherence to program policies.

Qualifications

• To qualify based on education, you must submit a legible copy of transcripts from an accredited institution with your name, school name, credit hours, course level, major(s), and grade-point average or class ranking.
• If education from foreign colleges is used, credentials must be evaluated to show equivalence to U.S. education.

Responsibilities

• Assist Volunteer Coordinator with VIP and Youth Programs tasks, prioritizing work and resolving questions or problems.
• Plan, coordinate, and document volunteer activities and projects.
• Maintain volunteer databases and generate standard reports (monthly/quarterly/annual).
• Recruit volunteers and conduct interviews to assess aptitude and qualifications.
