Job summary

Macy’s is seeking a Vendor Paid Specialist to join our team. You will apply vendor knowledge and strong selling skills to drive revenue, create an enhanced shopping experience, and keep customers as the priority.

You will collaborate with store leadership and vendor representatives to identify opportunities and deliver exceptional service. The role emphasizes a memorable customer experience, product knowledge-driven sales, and maintaining a high-standard store environment while supporting vendor

Qualifications

• Candidates with a High School Diploma or equivalent are encouraged to apply
• Minimum 1 year previous merchandising or retail experience
• Ability to effectively communicate and present information to customers, peers and all levels of management
• Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division and the ability to use a calculator
• Self-starter
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Must have good time management skills
• Ability to follow through on projects in a timely manner
• Must be comfortable with the use of computers and frequent use of RF equipment
• Flexible with scheduling and available to work retail hours, which may include day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays

• Partner with Customer Experience Manager to identify opportunities
• Maintain customer-first service at all times
• Educate customers using product knowledge to guide choices
• Convert customers into clients
• Keep store clean, organized, and ready for customers; prevent shortages
• Perform other customer-facing, vendor duties as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Maintain regular, dependable attendance and punctuality
• Foster inclusive, respectful environment with colleagues and customers
